FALL 2024 RECAP

The sisters of KPhiG Gamma Chapter had a remarkable Fall 2024 semester filled with service, fundraising, social, and recruitment events.
In collaboration with Baylor University, our sisters tabled at a number of recruitment events on campus. Late Night promotes all on-campus organizations and allows for freshmen to meet the members. Mosaic Mixer and Mosaic Asian Night allow respective cultural clubs and coalitions to have another opportunity to build these connections as well. Our sisters had the privilege of tabling at these three events to share our sisterhood and values!
Throughout the semester, we also had the privilege of sharing our philanthropy, cancer awareness, with the Baylor, Waco, and national community. Through various service and fundraising events, we raised money and awareness for Sunshine Kids, a nonprofit organization that helps children with cancer through support, donations, and group activities. In collaboration with Delta Kappa Delta, we held our nationwide KPhiG service event, Be the Change, and made care kits and holiday cards. Additionally, we hosted successful fundraisers like KPieG, Phinest Auction, and Krispy Kreme Treats. Our sisters individually served organizations such as Baylor Scott & White, Indo Pak National Basketball Tournament, Salvation Army, mission trips in the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica, and many more!
To spread South Asian culture and celebration, our sisters also participated in Baylor’s Neighbor Night for Diwali. Organizations such as the Indian Subcontinent Student Association (ISSA), Delta Kappa Delta (DKD), and Delta Epsilon Psi (DEPsi) represented and celebrated with the Baylor community as well. Our sisters also performed at ISSA’s Mock Shaadi event to promote South Asian wedding culture and ceremonies.
As an organization in the Unified Greek Council (UGC), we had an amazing time at the events. Our sisters participated in and attended UGC Food Fest where our sisters made samosas and mango lassi to serve attendees. Our sisters loved attending various fundraisers and events hosted by organizations such as alpha Kappa Delta Phi (aKDPhi), Kappa Delta Chi (KDChi), Omega Delta Phi (ODPhi), and more. As finals season took place, we also enjoyed attending UGC’s Study Night!
As the Fall 2024 semester wraps up, our sisters are thankful for this past semester. We are excited for another semester of service, sisterhood, and sharing our philanthropy and values!
